Trending: Brands now retooling pet memes in digital marketing

Brands are increasingly using digital marketing to court pet owners, a massive demographic comprising over 50% of all American households. To clarify, these aren't pet brands, but rather airlines, hotels, videos, even ice cream. As pet memes have become a traditional, even if sometimes annoying staple of social media, the pop culture phenomenon is now being explored by various types of business to increase engagement with an ever more desensitized consumer.
